Why Do We Get Sick in the Winter?

The temperature is dropping and the winter clothes are coming out of storage. It’s that time of year again. You better stay out of drafts, bundle up and keep warm; you don’t want to catch a cold. Get out of those wet clothes because the best way to avoid the flu is to make sure you stay warm and dry, right? Well, not necessarily. Weather doesn’t make you sick. Germs make you sick. There are a number of biological and environmental factors that play into our tendency to get sick in the winter, but the season itself isn’t the culprit.
